The ultimate Cotswold foodie weekend away
Last weekend we had the pleasure of being invited by Baz & Fred to experience their “Bite of the Cotswolds” Tour and we had THE BEST time!
Baz & Fred are the founders of The Stump, The New Inn & The Twig, three gorgeous destinations in the Cotswolds.
The Stump is a roadside Inn which has ten en-suite rooms, a garden, roaring open fires, a pool table, and pizza oven – the menu consists of simple but beautifully done pizzas, pastas, and small plates.
Their other Inn, The New Inn is nestled in a beautiful little village Coln St Aldywn, which isn’t far from Bibury. The New Inn has 14 luxury en-suite bedrooms and burgers are their thing (done brilliantly may I add!)
Finally, The Twig, their takeaway coffee bar, which is situated in the heart of Bibury, a fab little spot to grab a toastie or a coffee on the go.
SO, back to this tour… it’s a great package which offers you 2 overnight stays with dinner & breakfast included.
STOP ONE : THE NEW INN, COLN ST ALDWYN
You begin checking in at The New Inn into one of their gorgeous rooms from 3pm, then head down for dinner and drinks in the restaurant/bar in the evening, finishing off with a delicious cooked breakfast before you check out. Read our full food review here!
En route to STOP TWO (The Stump) they recommend filling your day with the picturesque walk from The New Inn to Bibury which runs along the Coln River Valley to Bibury then returns across higher fields with open views – once you arrive in Bibury you can head to The Twig, enjoy your coffee, and cake voucher which is included in the tour.
