On Sunday we had a tour of the newly renovated Bull in Burford and WOW it is IN-SANE!
Coming back as a style icon on the Cotswold and hotel restaurant scene, the Bull’s new face-lift has set the bar high.
Offering four restaurants, three bars and “no menu” the quirky concept has had lots of people interested.
THE RESTAUARANTS:
HIRO
A ten seat Omakase Japanese restaurant where our sushi master Hiromi serves an eclectic 10 course feast of the finest fish, meat and vegetables. The room features Roman and Byzantine mosaics and a 90 million year old fish fossil keeping a watchful eye on the proceedings.
THE WILD
Designed by Guy Ritchie, the indoor/outdoor double grill seats 10 people for an extraordinary selection of food prepared by our resident chef and served straight from the coals.

THE HORN
A unique communal dining experience for up to 30 people, Bull’s main dining room serves beautifully cooked local produce (mostly from our kitchen garden) combined with sustainably farmed fish and meat.

THE GRAZE
Situated on the terrace in the middle of the hotel, graze serves a constantly changing range of street food from our wood fired oven and grills

THE PANTRY
Available to guests 24 hours a day, the pantry has an amazing selection of cooked and smoked meats, fish and cheeses waiting to be combined with the finest breads in our Japanese toast ovens for the ultimate sando. Freshly baked treats, juices and snacks are restocked throughout the day and night to be consumed either in room or in the adjacent snug.
VINCENT’S
The bar and lounge is available to guests for a comprehensive range of drinks and cocktails and, for our regular guests, has personalised locked tequila cages to stash any one of over 50 Mescal and tequila bottles.

THE HIDE
Deep in the medieval basement of Bull is our wine and poker room which serves drinks, snacks and hope
It also holds one of the largest collection of large format fine wine in the U.K. Double magnums, Jeroboams and Imperials can be selected for consumption in any of Bull’s dining rooms.
We had a drink on the terrace this weekend and were eyeing up the menu on offer there, currently there’s a smash burger, veggie burger and a selection of flatbreads available, the burger looked GREAT.
Alongside all the incredible dining opportunities there are 18 rooms where guests can stay for 2 nights, checking in on a Friday, Monday, or Wednesday. The rooms and suites available are designed to feel
“safe & warm” and to cater for every need during your stay.
The Coaching Inn offers their guests a wide range of unique experiences, giving you the chance to learn a new skill or perfect an old one! Some of the experiences on offer are photography, cooking, butchery, bee keeping and LOTS more!
