I don’t know about you but there’s something incredibly nostalgic about Pizza Express, I always used to visit when out shopping in town or for dinner with friends at university.
They’ve just opened a gorgeous new site at The Brewery Quarter in #cheltenham and we were invited to their soft opening last night. The Brewery had all its Christmas lights up and inside the restaurant had a hint of Christmas too which I was loving! The interiors were so sleek and staff sooooo sweet!
We were greeted with a festive drink and showed to our table, we had a lovely 3 course menu to choose from and here’s what we ate:
Truffle Dough Balls – Truffle and garlic butter coated dough balls
Mushroom Arancini – Golden risotto balls filled with mushrooms and melting mozzarella, served with rocket and a tomato dip
Mushroom & Truffle Romana Pizza – Mixed mushrooms, mozzarella, ricotta, fresh rosemary, garlic oil, creamy bechamel base, sprinkled parsley
Carbonara Romana Pizza – A classic pasta dish as a pizza, pancetta, mozarella, garlic oil, bechamel sauce base, topped with a free-range egg, gran milano cheese and parsley
White Forest Roulade – crisp meringue, rolled and filled with sweet, tart cherry, white chocolate, and cream, finished with pomegranate
Billionaire’s Truffle Sundae – Salted caramel and vanilla gelato, salted caramel and chocolate sauce, crushed lotus biscuits and a Lindor salted caramel truffle
Pizza express always has been and always will be a great spot for family lunches after the cinema or relaxed dinners with friends – go check out the new one at The Brewery Quarter
