What a mid-week TREAT! Last night we were invited to @bathurstarms to give their menu a try. Located 10 minutes outside Cirencester in North Cerney, the instantly recognisible pink pub had been on my list for a little while.
We were greeted by the manager who was incredibly friendly and knowledgable about the organic, locally sourced ingredients and talked us through lots of items on the menu which was great. The menu has sharing small plates as an option and the reccomend 2/3 per person as a main or you can opt for the more traditional starter and main course which is what we went for.
Here’s what we ate:
🧀 Crispy fried mac & cheese, Chilli sauce & pickled chillies
🍛 Partridge tenders & Katsu curry sauce, carrot
🍔 Beef patty & beer brisket burger, onion bhaji, nacho cheese, pickled cabbage
🐷 Pork tenderloin, garlic parmesan polenta, red cabbage, apple, carrot, cavalo nero
Stand out dishes had to be the Partridge tenders, the Katsu sauce was out of this world and we loved the garlic parmesan polenta that accomanied the pork! They did have some treally tasty looking desserts but we were SO full we couldn’t manage one unfortunately, however we’ll definitely be back so will certainly try one then! They’ve also just launched a cheese fondue menu which sounds unreal 🤤🤤 🧀
