The Carpenters Arms – Review

Fulbrook Hill, A361, Fulbrook, Burford OX18 4BH

Last nights mid-week date night was a cosy one! As the nights are drawing in and its getting cooler name me a better place to dine than a cosy Cotswold pub?!

We were invited down to @the_carpenters_arms_ to try out their Autumn menu and we were blown away with quality of food and loved loved loved the cosy setting.

Here’s what we ate:

🧀 Welsh Rarebit – Gherkins

🍄 Mushroom Arancini – Mushroom Ketchup (We need this ketchup bottled and permentantely in our lives!)

🐔 Roast Corn Fed Chicken – Cripsy Polenta, BBQ Corn on the Cob, Sweetcorn Puree, Pickled Shallots, Chicken Jus (Now, I would go as far to say as this is my favourite main course of 2022, everything about it was delicicious and I didn’t want it to end)

🥩 Fillet Steak – Triple Cooked Chips, Bernaise Sauce, Salad, Glazed Roscoff Onion (This steak was melt in your mouth and cooked to perfection!)

🥦 Purple Sprouting Broccoli with Hazlenut & Chilli

🍦 Raspberry Mille Feuille – Baked White Chocolate Cremeaux, Mint Snow, Raspberry Sorbet

🍫 Dark Chocolate Fondant – Mango Salsa, Passionfruit Sorbet

We also tried a few of their non-alcoholic cocktails which we loved, they have a great choice of non/low alcohol drinks available! If you’re looking to cosy up infront of the fire and you enjoy pub food done VERY well then save this post!
