Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to @thecrown_at_cerneywick to try out their exciting new menu. This cosy pub has recently been taken over and they have launched with a “British tapas” style menu which was music to my ears as this is 100% my favourite way to eat, what’s not to love about sharing lots of small plates and getting to try a bit of everything?! The friendly staff recommended 2/3 small plates per person so we decided to try:
– Monkfish scampi, chilli jam, lettuce
– Curried goat, yoghurt, pomegranate, almonds & flatbread
– Spiced chicken croquettes
– Crispy chicken slider, lettuce, pancetta & Mayo
– Half a lobster with garlic butter
– Braised oxtail ragout, tagliatelle, parmesan & basil
– Guinness braised beef cheek, celeriac purĂ©e
– Chocolate pot, brownie & honeycomb
If you’re looking to add to your “must visit” list in 2022 make sure to add @thecrown_at_cerneywick the food was exciting & absolutely delicious, I can’t wait to head back already to give their Sunday roast a try!
