Saturday night @highway_inn_burford was an absolute delight ✨
We were invited down to try out their new Autumn menu and the whole evening was just lovely. Set on the high street in Burford this gorgeous Cotswold pub has been decorated beautifully and their new menu is exceptional.
Here’s what we ate:
🍄 Garlic wild mushrooms and shaved parmesan on toasted sourdough
🥖 Cotswold game terrine, tomato and chilli chutney, grilled sourdough
🥧 British lamb shank pie, creamed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, redcurrant jus
🐟 Steamed Cornish mussels, Hawkstone cider, chorizo and sage, baked bread and fries
🍫 Chocolate tart with pistachio ice cream
The food was outstanding from start to finish and the lamb pie was a real statement dish that tasted as good as it looked! If you’re looking for a cosy pub to enjoy dinner with friends and family with really great pub food on the menu – the @highway_inn_burford is where you should head!
