🚨 MY NEW FAVOURITE PLACE
📍 @pitkitchencotswolds is an amazing new start up located just outside of Chipping Norton in THE most beautiful setting I’ve ever seen. The whole concept of The Pit Kitchen is exactly why I am so passionate about what I do, simple food cooked amazingly in a chill setting that all age groups can appreciate and enjoy. Their motto is BANGING FOOD, EPIC VIEWS, BIG FLAMES… can confirm all 3 are true.
Before I delve into what we ate, I need to talk about the communal style dining… The Pit Kitchen houses 3 huge wooden tables in a field at the top of a hill, overlooking the Cotswolds. I have to say, being able to sit and talk to others enjoying the food and setting as much as we were was such an enjoyable experience – we loved it…I mean, after being cooped up for a year, who wouldn’t?
The street food style menu is inspired by Middle Eastern flavours, there may only be a few things on the menu but they are all executed extremely well. We went in the evening, around 6:30 and the evening menu consisted of:
Spiced chicken shawarma, feta dressing, hummus, seasonal salads & pickles (ÂŁ12)
Spiced mushroom shawarma, feta dressing, hummus, seasonal salads & pickles (v + pb option) (ÂŁ12)
Pit roast cauliflower, red onion, parsley, pistachio, sumac dressing (pb) (ÂŁ4)
Corn, spiced butter (v) (ÂŁ4)
Obviously we tried one of each as it all sounded so amazing, and well, it tasted better than it sounded. The value for money here is also great, the portions are very generous, and we left with very happy and full tummy’s! As well as amazing food options they have a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks on offer. They do also have a lunch time menu which I am so excited to go back and try, you can see that here:

SO, to summarise, if you’re looking for a completely chill, fun evening with friends and family with delicious food, wine and views then @pitkitchencotswolds should be at the top of your list!
