Last night my mum and I visited @porch_house for dinner.
The Porch House is in Stow On The Wold and is the oldest inn in the U.K… how cool is that?!
It’s decorated beautifully inside, really cosy and quite a grand feel!
Here’s what we ate at The Porch House:
🍅 PAN SEARED SCALLOPS
rustic tomato stew, chorizo
🧀 SLICED BRESAOLA
rocket, parmesan
🐷 PORK BELLY
pancetta bon bons, tender stem broccoli, baby apples, red wine jus
🥩 6OZ FILLET STEAK
mini steak & ale pie, confit tomato & garlic purée, sweet potato fries
🍰 BAKED VANILLA CHEESECAKE
honeycomb, chocolate sauce, chocolate brownie whipped cream
🍋 LEMON MERINGUE PIE
buttery biscuit base, Italian meringue, vanilla ice cream, lemon curd
Stand out dishes were both starters & the steak which was cooked to perfection, absolutely LOVED the addition of the mini steak and ale pie, it was so tasty! Also the baked cheesecake with CHOCOLATE BROWNIE, yes CHOCOLATE BROWNIE ice cream was a dream!
